Projects & time tracking
Project → Tasks & team → Log time → Draft invoice
- Create a project under Projects → New project: the customer, a budget, and how it's billed — a fixed fee, one project rate per hour, a rate per task, a rate per person, or not billable.
- On the project page add tasks (each with its own rate or budget if you like) and the team who work on it.
- Everyone logs time under My timesheet — type it in (1:30, 1.5 or 90m) or use Start timer. The week view totals each day.
- When it's time to bill, Create draft invoice on the project turns all unbilled time (up to a date you choose) into invoice lines — one per task or per person. Check the draft, then send it as usual. Invoiced time is locked so it can't be billed twice.
- The project page shows hours logged, unbilled and invoiced, and warns you when you go over the hours budget.
Custom modules
- Track anything the app doesn't have a page for — vehicles, site visits, contracts, equipment on loan. An owner or admin builds a module under Admin console → Custom modules → New module.
- Give it a name and add fields: short or long text, number, amount, date, yes/no, dropdown, email, phone, link, or a link to one of your customers or vendors. Mark fields as required, and tick Show in list for the columns you want to see.
- Each module gets its own page in the sidebar under Custom modules, with search, a detail view, edit and delete.
- You can rename fields later without losing what's been entered. Who can use custom modules is set on each role (Custom modules permission).
- Custom modules and their records are also available over the Developer API.
