Set up your business and invite your team

Getting started

  • After you register you land straight on your Dashboard, inside a 14-day free trial with every module unlocked — explore freely before you choose a plan.
  • Open Settings → Businesses (or your business switcher at the top of the sidebar) and fill in your business details:
    • Name, RC number, TIN, address, phone
    • Logo and authorized signature
    • VAT settings and base currency
    • Default terms and payment terms
These pre-fill every new document so you only set them once.
  • Give your business a short code on that page (e.g. "OINL"). It's used to number your documents — leave it blank and one is generated from your business name's initials.
  • Use more than one business? Switch between them any time from the dropdown at the top of the sidebar.
  • Go to Team from your business page to invite colleagues and set what each of them can do — see Team & roles.
  • Made a business by mistake, or need to wipe one clean? The quick Delete on the Businesses page only works on an empty business with no documents. To permanently remove a business and everything in it, use Delete all data… instead — owner only, and it asks for your password and the business name typed out before it does anything.

Bulk importing documents and items from CSV

Moving from another app or a spreadsheet? Upload many documents or items at once from a CSV file.

Documents

  • Go to Documents → Bulk import and choose the document type: quotation, sales order, proforma invoice, invoice, receipt, credit note, debit note, retainer invoice or delivery challan.
  • Click Download sample CSV. It has every column heading and one example row. Open it in Excel or Google Sheets and replace the example with your own rows.
  • Use one row per line item. Rows with the same reference become one document. The customer, dates, discount and notes come from the document's first row.
  • Required columns: reference, customer_name, issue_date, description, qty and unit_price. Put an item's SKU or barcode in item_code to link the line to that item. The line then moves its stock, and description and price can be left blank.
  • Customers are matched by email, then by name. Anyone new is added for you.
  • Dates can be YYYY-MM-DD or DD/MM/YYYY.
  • Save as CSV and upload. Every row is checked first. If any row has a problem, nothing is imported and you see each problem by row number.
  • Imported documents are saved as drafts, numbered automatically unless you fill document_no.

Items

  • Go to Items → Bulk import and click Download sample CSV. Only name is required.
  • Optional columns: price, SKU, barcode, description, category, opening stock, reorder level and shelf location.
  • After uploading you can check how the columns were matched and preview the items before anything is added. A file exported from another app works too: just pick which of its columns is which.
  • Opening stock is recorded as a stock movement, and new categories are created for you.
